Someone please compare the oem Si rear lower control arm to the non Si (DX/LX/EX) rear lower control arms. Why does hondanews.com list the Si as having "heavy duty hubs" and "heavy duty control arms" over the non si?
If thats true what makes them heavy duty? Thicker walls, brackets? Made from aluminum?

Solid front 28.0 mm stabilizer bar (up from 25.4 mm tubular)
Solid rear 17.0 mm stabilizer bar (up from 11.0 mm)
Heavy duty front wheel hub and bearings
Heavy duty front and rear lower control arms"

Pic of 07 civic Si rear lower arm:
-The same? The two knucles you see in the pic the one labeled 4 and 8 belongs to the Si.
-The si lower rear control arm is $157 (each) at:

The Civic LX rear lower control arm costs: $147
The idea (of course not cheap) since the bracket broke on the non-Si that your problem would be solved if you got Si lower control arms.
Now someone go and compare the two control arms. Meanwhile I'll see what I can do.
