Thumbs up Random Technology High Flow Cat. Review

Well I recieved my Random Technology High Flow Cat. from a local performance shop on friday, me and my uncle installed it on Saturday. I have been patently waiting to get this mod for a little while, and I recently paid off my intake so I bought it! Anyways, the quality was great, all the parts that were needed for the install were in the package.

Fitment:10/10 . The cat fits like a glove, not one problem at all.

Parts:10/10 . Everything that was needed for the install(lugs, bolts, gasket)was in the box, including a warrenty card.

Installation10/10 Like I said before the cat fits like a glove.

Problem: the thing that we had a problem with was the stock system. First off idk about others but none of the bolts wanted to move. We wound up having to use air tools. We got 4 of the 5 bolts off before the problem. The final bolt that was holding the cat on, one of the 3 that connect to the catback would not come off. It also happened to be the bolt in the hardest to reach spot. We tried for a good while to get the damn thing off, but after about 45 min, we had managed to do ablsolutly nothing. The bolt was either stripped, or my uncle said that the heat may have semi welded it. In the end we had to cut that P.O.S. off.

Sound:9/10 The sound did not change to much. The only performance mod that I have is an Injen CAI. The sound is deeper on start up, and at low RPMs. Throughout the whole RPMs the sound is a little deeper, but lower RPMs it is much more noticeable. There is also a ''swish sound when you apply 1/2 throttle, after that idk because the CAI drowns out the exhaust.

Performance 10/10 You can def. feel more power from 3500 up to redline. I dont gass the car any lower than 3000 RPM so I am not to sure of the power below that point. The revs climb faster through all RPMs, and throttle responce has improved.

Over all grade 9.8/10, I would def. recomend this mode to anybody not wanting to install a race header, I am really enjoying driving the car. Here are some pics, sorry I do not have a pic of it installed, I can get one tmrw if anybody wants one.

Here is what the stock lug looked like after we had to do surgery.

The SOB bolt next to one of the others that came off no problem.

Enjoy! If you have any questions feel free to ask.

EDIT!

The stock Cat weighs in at 15 pounds, and the Random Tech. weighs in at 6 pounds. Just incase anybody was interested in that.
