They just cant seem to find the problem not to mention the noise isnt and hasnt been the only thing wrong. And to kero if i were you and the noise is getting louder and they keep saying everything is fine i suggest getting a second opinion if you havent unless yours sounds different then mine i wouldnt think everything was fine.

Shlee, no, my noise is exactly the same as your and happens exactly as you describe. The only thing I was able to find was one person on the edmunds forums, had the dealership retourqe the entire front end and his noise went away. The dealership advised him the front end components were over tighted during assembly.
I brought the info to my dealership and you know what happened, they would not do the work since they could not determine the problem.
I might be trading in the new few months as I am growing tired of the problems I have even though for the most part I like the car. The value has not stayed as some would think.
My car at a few places, not a ding, dent or scuff on the car, no accidents, was valued at 13K. These places advise the problem being to many civics are being traded and it's hard for them to unload them.
I went and looked the scionXB and the new one is roomy and has the utility I need. A honda element is to expensive as I will no doubt have some negative equity on the car.
The only thing I can say is that until I need new brakes up front, I have not noticed any mechanical issues due to the noise but am curious when the front brakes are changed, if they find any abnormal wear on the pads or rotors. I always thought in my mind a caliper might have been sticking or a pad was moving around in the caliper.
