I knew there was no way I could get my fingers in there and not drop the bushings. I didn't like the idea of the fun tack so I came up with my own simple solution. Take some light fishing line tie it through the bushing like a ring on a necklace. put the string under the hole the bushing goes in and pull it up and through with some needle nose untill the bushing is in snug in place, then tie off or tape the loop to the shifter so it holds in place. All you do now is just put the bolts in tighten it part way down. Cut the fishing line and pull it out like dentle floss between your teeth (there is room for the fishing line and the bolt so it slides right out). I could have never even done this with the fun tack. I needed the line to pull them up into place. Hope this helps the guys who don't have any fun tack handy. This may actually be the way to go even if you have it as you will not loose the bushing. Thank you all who contributed to this guide it was very helpful!
