The rev limiter in the stock Si kicks in at 8500 rpm. Honda's engineers determined that that was as high as the engine should be safely revved to. You install a program which disregards this limit and arbitrarily raises it without any internal engine modifications. That seems like a GOOD idea?

And the high profile cams are DESIGNED to be used at HIGH rpm, when the car needs a higher air/fuel mixture. Engaging them at low rpm does nothing but make noise and waste gas.
